Evanella / Beacap was created from our counselling experience, in Czech-Swedish cooperation.

Since 2010, we have run counselling focused on caps and diaphragms. We noticed that many women could not get a good grip of a removal strap of the original cervical cap, resulting in difficulty removing the device. We also received a considerable number of complaints regarding lessened sensation through cervix stimulation in women, and too strong sensation in men. In both cases the culprit was the massive strap that was in the way, distracting from the pleasure. Thus Evanella / Beacap was born.

Why Evanella or Beacap?

Our cap was developed as Beacap – a contraceptive device. EU and US legislation requires certain types of certification for the product to be referred and offered as contraception. These certifications are unfortunately insanely expensive and are without reach of small companies like ours.

So you may enjoy Evanella – a device for making love during menstruation or collecting mucus for FAM (Fertility Awareness Method). Evanella, as a special type of menstrual cup, complies with EU legislation.

We chose our manufacturer carefully, so the caps are produced by ISO certified company (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 for medical devices, and ISO 14001 for Environmental management system) specializing in medical devices. The caps are made of German medical grade silicone. Evanella was tested for safety by Czech agency The National Institute of Public Health, with excellent results.
